The Black Book: How Coffee can help Paul Edima

Paul enjoyed a peaceful and satisfying life until the Police disrupted it by shooting his son, Damilola Edima (played by Olumide Oworu), and attempting to falsely accuse the deceased young man of kidnapping.

When I first came across the title “Black Book” on Facebook, it immediately brought to mind the 2006 movie of the same name. However, I quickly dismissed this notion after skimming through the post and heading straight to Netflix to see what it had in store.

“The Formal” is a compelling war drama, co-written and directed by the talented Paul Verhoeven and features actors like Carice van Houten, Sebastian Koch, Thom Hoffman, and Halina Reijn. It’s worth noting that this movie draws inspiration from various true events and characters.

The story revolves around a young Jewish woman in the Netherlands who embarks on a daring mission as a spy for the resistance during World War II, driven by a tragic encounter with the Nazis.

Now sip a cup of coffee!

The latter, which premiered on September 22nd, delves into another dark narrative. It focuses on Paul Edima, whose life took a dramatic turn when the police shot his son, Damilola Edima, and attempted to frame the deceased young man for kidnapping.

Dark, right?

Anyway, I am not here to give a SPOILER ALERT but here is how I think coffee could have helped Paul Edima solve the problem.

Get some more clarity Paul

In times of distress and confusion, a steaming cup of coffee can be a reliable ally. The caffeine in coffee acts as a stimulant, enhancing mental alertness and focus. Paul Edima, dealing with the shocking events surrounding his son, could have found solace in a cup of coffee. It might have enabled him to think more clearly, strategize effectively, and consider alternative solutions to the challenges he faced. Now, If he hadn’t possessed the ability to swim when he was thrown into the ocean, he might not have survived. If you can, learn how to swim.

Be calm on Coffee Mr Paul

The emotional toll of losing a loved one and facing a wrongful accusation can be overwhelming. Coffee contains compounds that can reduce stress and promote a sense of relaxation. By incorporating coffee into his daily routine, Paul could have potentially managed his stress levels better. Reduced stress might have enabled him to approach his situation with a calmer mindset, facilitating clearer decision-making. It doesn’t always have to be the other way even though In the final outcome, he emerged victorious, thanks to Shaffy Bello and her formidable army. This situation highlights the potential risks associated with using scissors to sever connections every three market days.

Coffee as a Symbol of Resilience

When Paul raised his head to look at the cross and the cross looked back at him, that was coffee in action. In literature and culture, coffee often symbolizes resilience and endurance. Both are mostly birth control actions, a roadmap towards getting things done. Senator Dipo (Patrick Doyle) and Angel (Sam Dede) were terrified when they discovered that Paul Edima was the father of the child they had killed and attempted to blame for a kidnapping. This fear-inducing effect only occurs when people are aware of the extent of physical violence someone is capable of. They could have drank some coffee.
